LOOP is an NNTP server (written in Common Lisp) for a circle of friends. We need small communities now; big ones go south. NNTP is for people who care about plain-text content, dispensing with whistles and bells---a discussion forum doesn't need to be a Christmas tree.

How to install

We assume LOOP is written in Common Lisp, but it's not in the Quicklisp repository, so we'll instruct you to install it as a local project. Go to
  ~/quicklisp/local-projects/
and say
  $ git clone https://git.atlantida.space/root/loop
  $ cd loop
  $ echo /path/to/loop/home > conf-home
  $ make install
Now test it with:
$ cd /path/to/loop/home
$ ./loop
200 Welcome! I am LOOP 9575ac2. Say ``help'' for a menu.
quit
205 Good-bye.
You have the executable ready and use it straight from your keyboard. To make into a network service so that your friends can connect, you must fulfill our assumptions listed above. If you you're lost here, get in touch for help.
